What Is Mandingo Club

RUST (Interview)

Francesco Rossi (bass), Simone Rossi (guitar, vocals), Paul Scalabrino (bass) and David Oliver (drums) are the Rust are from the province of Cuneo and are authors of a disco-bomb which the title says it all, Mathematics Extraction of Cells .
The following interview gives us the opportunity to engage with three of them some aspects of their music and their way of understanding things ...

Hello guys, welcome to Neuroprison. First I would like to know more about the monicker: why "Rust"?

David: It has no special meaning ... Years ago we found ourselves having to urgently seek a name for the group for a concert and "Rust" had a sound that we liked. Surely it was better than other solutions that we found, over time we started to get used to it and we have not wanted to change it. The idea came from the name of a disk of Gea (group Bergamo), was the cover picture in a newspaper of music and we liked the word "Rust," I do not know why but we had hit.

Simone : Rust was a choice dictated by the 'need to possess a name. Do not have a specific sense but we like the "sound" that creates, in addition to the feelings related to the type of music we do. At today 's could not esistre another name for us, rust and all!

Mathematics extraction of cells is a debut of a remarkable maturity and cohesion. You are able to achieve a perfect balance between the complexity of instrumental math rock, the ferocity of hardcore and the ruthlessness of the noise-rock without ever losing sight of the emotions. Songs like "Cadillac", "Eat The Sun Through The Eyes", "Fujiko" and "Thallium III" are open wounds that hurt, nails driven into the skin, the sound of the province sick. I think you are fully satisfied with the results ...

David: Thank you, maybe what you say you do not even think about us ...
What we wanted was to make a good record at the start, taking account of the times we had at our disposal and disposable income that we had (little). When completed, we can say we met. The end result we like and what wanted to convey I think we can grasp. It 's the most important thing is not at all obvious.

Paul: We are broadly satisfied with the disc, and we are even more pleased with what we have created in recent years. Mathematics extraction of cells, our first record in every respect, it was only the culmination of work that embodies a beautiful piece of our history. I think that's how you close a circle from which we started almost by accident. Having a record was a "milestone" that gave us confidence, made us realize our potential.

Simone : Matematca extraction of cells was the result of years of plays, concerts and experiences that have forged a certain personality. I'm happy because, our pieces have always had a line and a constant theme over the years. When you can create your own unique sound and a musical personality, creating a landmark in that area, in which case associated with rust.

In its review, I wrote that your music is' constantly in the balance between noise and melody, power and refinement, emergency communication and intellectualism. " Share this analysis? How does a piece of rust?

David: The problem is that we do not know either us in particular. Sometimes the pieces popping up almost by chance and we finish them quickly. In most cases, however, the process is quite long, we work for a long time and make several changes until you find the solution that we think is best. Often, the Afghan us a hand.

Simone: A piece of Rust was born, in most cases, unexpected situations where all four manage to create a riff almost immediate compared to the backbone of the piece. There are pieces that start and end in a relatively short period of time, whereas others have already happened that we went much more.

Paul: I agree with your analysis, how to share the response of David and Simon.
The creation of the songs is never a process "mathematical". There are times when six tests and everything runs smoothly, the pieces come naturally. Other times he lingers there and you get lost inside a riff without managing to make ends the song.

production Manuel Volpe at the Redhouse Recordings in Senigallia was very important to the success of the disc. A sound level closely, for example, the difference between the full length and the previous Ep ( review) is substantial. I think Manuel has photographed faithfully what are the Rust today: a powerful band, surgical and by 'live impact tremendously. What was it like working with him? Would you like to renew this partnership in the future?

David: It 's certainly been a very nice experience and training. For having worked with him and having the opportunity to do so at Redhouse. Manuel is a person who already had known before recording, we did concerts with the group with whom he played, the Bhava, and then it was easier then to work with him in the studio. Especially for the live discussion of the impact it is something that we held a lot and Manuel did a great job with that.

Paul: I think Manuel has lived very hard and seriously the day of registration, as the days that precede it. His interest in us has always been strong enough to propose to record with him at the Redhouse.
All this was only an advantage for us, because we wanted to record new songs and at the same time re-record the songs that we kept most of Ep. Before thinking about a new partnership we have put together the pieces that will make a new record, something about which we are concentrating more.

Simon: We're talking to a professional recording studio, which enhances everything about the group. We were fortunate and excited to be working with Manuel, as he grasped the full meaning and what we wanted to achieve. Certainly in the future, if there is a possibility, we look forward to working with him again.

the most careful observers of the Italian will not escape your background, the area of \u200b\u200bCuneo. It seems that the country has become the epicenter of the new "noise-rock made in Italy". What is going on there? What's all this activity is?

David: I can not tell, and we all know in general what we have in common is that we really believe, no matter what we do. It 's true, there are so many good bands in the province of Cuneo. I think of Fuh, the group that more than anything else we feel constrained, as I Monade Stanca, to Treehorn, to Dogs For Breakfast, to Fagetz, the Three Light Noise.
Within less "noisy" and more songwriting are the Moncada and Matt Castellano (one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard of at all). Soon you will also know the illness and hubs.
And then there are the dogs and Sciorra Dead Elephant, from which groups in the province started a little of everything. Yes, eventually we are just in two or three.

Paul: This question can only make me really happy. I think it is very important that outside of the "great" there are people really interested in what happens here is really rewarding.
Actually here in the province, apart from the groups, there is great turmoil "musical". I have very few places to play, but in particular the people of the greatest absent this time. It seems almost vanished interest in live music, not for cover bands or orchestras smooth course, but for groups that go on for years trying to leave something of their own, something that is expressed through a song or a concert for example.
Maybe all these groups were also born in opposition to the limits of the province, can be appreciated by people who live hundreds of miles away from us can only be an incentive to do better.

Simon: As far as the scene of Cuneo, everything is born from the 'advent of the Elephant Man who threw the pebble into the lake giving way to many new situations and realities. Here he felt the need, and today I am happy that you have created all this. I wanted to point out that of all there is a great collaboration, because they've grown up together, sharing many experiences ...

You were born as a trio (guitar, bass, drums) but have subsequently expanded its line-up with the arrival of a second bass player. During Extraction listening ... I realized that the presence of both low and textures created by these combine to give a very harmonic and rhythmic dynamism within the songs on the album ...

David: It 's a little what we wanted to achieve. The idea of \u200b\u200bhaving two bass is something that we like very much, that somehow allows you to have a particular impact, especially live. It 's also a way to detach ourselves from other groups and have greater incentives to make more personal that we do. It is not always easy, but it is always better than cleaning the bathroom of Camerana (who wants to understand, understand).

Paul : The choice of the two bass was so fortuitous as interesting.
Over the years Frank and I we managed to get everyone their own sound, no cover with one another.
We have found the right "mix" of sound to make everything less trivial as possible. Francis has a much better sound balked on the low, mid and high frequencies while I Simon covers the whole upper part missing. In this way we can co-exist very well. Although I would say we are the bane of every conversation.

Simon: 's idea of \u200b\u200btwo low, though it was strange, there has been intrigued and satisfied musically. We wanted to do something new, even though initially was not because it was make them stand out and make sure to create two very different sounds with a well defined sound personality. All this work is heard, as you pointed out, in Mathematics extraction of cells, we love!

speak the purely lyrical of your music. Who is responsible for writing the lyrics and what inspires you the most in everyday life?

Paul: The lyrics I write them mostly and Simone.
Those who feel most inspired to write a text for a particular piece does, then together we place it in the song, or to assess any arrangements. I think it is a good way to work in this two-part composition.
As for the lyrical content, you enter a minefield. When I write I never think about a particular topic, I write what I feel, what we live, questions and everything that strikes me most in life everyday. All this includes moments of carefree moments of a simple desire to scream someone, something. I think that whatever emerges blatantly in the disc, there is a real need to move something, and especially the need to tell their feelings grow.

Among your main influences would mention bands like Don Caballero, Dazzling Killmen, Uzeda Psyclon and Massimo Volume. Do you agree? Next to the ten desert island discs ...

These are surely all groups that have given us so much. Some probably are among our favorite bands, and then it is undeniable that we have influenced. Who is more, some less. Ten records of this stuff is difficult.
This may be fine:

ANGELS - I Want Out More
BURIAL - Untrue
Deftones - White Pony
DON CABALLERO - What Burns Never Returns
GONG - Angel's Egg
KING CRIMSON - Red
MASSIMO VOLUME - along the edges
ISIS - Panopticon
Shellac - At Action Park
TORTOISE - TNT

Extraction Of Mathematics Cells can be downloaded free from the Escape From Today. It would be interesting to know your views on the practical use of modern music (streaming, downloads, YouTube, MySpace, etc.). ...

Simone: For people like us, playing live and try to make records, for sure is a major foothold being able to propose their own songs and much more. I am pleased that, when you are around to play, there is someone who says he has already downloaded the songs, but still want to buy the disc. This is proof that if someone likes you, this does not just download your songs, look for something concrete and that's what makes us love this adventure ....

David: Like all things always depends on the use made of it. For us, the discs will sell primarily in concert, is a good thing that some people may know it in other ways, perhaps even through the Internet. And if you buy even after the disc becomes how to add the mozzarella kebab. Fantastic.

How is your live performances? You have already embarked on a tour to support the record?

David : Something came out, and meanwhile there was half of the summer and as always, unfortunately, we were still a little bit.
We recently played at Arona, now Saluzzo, Milan and certainly Turin. Soon we hope to play in other parts of Italy and do a mini tour abroad, absolutely.

Paul: A proper tour we could not do it, so we did some dates, but we would be able to present the record in most parts of Italy. As we sing in Italian (and not many teams that do) we should try to make the most of this thing trying to move as much as possible in our country. Then of course if there's even better to play abroad, but I think this might be a bit 'our way.
The biggest challenge now remains as long as you can spend in finding places to play. All this is not easy from my point of view, the sound keeps us on the contrary, we often call just to play out of our area. Things seem to be this way: either you have an agency that deals entirely in search of your live, promotion, etc., or all that part of the fall in self-band that is not always possible to follow the best.

We live in an age of recycling various merciless and revival, in which the original is to be an arduous and often the most important thing is the hype that was created around a band rather than the actual quality of its proposal. Question from 100 million dollars: which you think might be the future of music?

David: This is a phrase that some of us put on the MySpace Canales * Noise Records:
"The engineers are discouraged. They spent most of the twentieth century to develop superb stereo sounds and now are having to work with a terrible sound compression system called "file." Convenience is a crap. "
Thurston Moore

Paul: I think that as long as there is human life on this planet there will be people who will need to express their ideas through any art form, then there is someone willing to make her own is another story.
The important thing is to never lose their points of view without getting to sleep.

Simone: Certainly the fact that we are creating our reality as one of Cuneo, along with many others, can be associated to the fact that it has reached a point where people have given in and need something different . Despite this, in Italy, are fewer and fewer places that are playing or offering something interesting. There are bands that are very respectable and original space and acclaim abroad and not here. I see this journey be long and tortuous, but I think that anything will change because it must change! In the past

have shared the stage with Theatre Of Tragedy, a band that needs no introduction. There are claims that have been "sold", there are those who still continues to appreciate them unconditionally. Are you also one of these two sides?

David: We have never been the "fans" avid Theatre Of Tragedy, some of us listen to them, others less so.
E 'in our group who deserve our respect and certainly the word "sold" to approach a group like them it sounds a bit out of place.

Paul: When we played together I was not at all given the impression that he had sold. I saw a band that went on stage when he made his show, brought a truly live "theatrical" and especially its impact is powerful and compact. Next is a band that comes from something called "One Dimensional Man," I think people who have left their mark, and has been and continues to be proud of the landscape "rock" country.

We arrived in the pipeline, thanks for availability and for as long as you have given us. I renew the compliments for the hard and end up ... to your own schedule.

Thank you / you for the interview and thanks for the compliments to the disk.
soon.

Marner - Shipwreck Universal

Tracklist 01. According to the Flood Hypothesis Ryan-Pitman
02. Zoster (the wrong / right medication I)
03. So much lamented
Ride 04. The Snake Island
05. Wherever Shipwreck

In a rainy day like this one can not fail to review an album whose title invites just look out the window and realize that Marner are perfectly right.
"Shipwreck Universal" , is about to collapse everything has not collapsed yet, is to devastate the last chance of survival. Marner, musical reality of the most fit in this Italic peninsula in the first autumn chill of this 2010.
We stand here to present Marner? I do not think, by now already know who knows, if you can not mean that it is not so necessary to know. The first
full of youngsters out to Bologna for a host of independent labels ( Bavosa Women, Blood Drives, Escape from Today, Trips und Traume, first and Nojoy Records) DIY is the rule and there are no cocks! Five tracks
declaring the end of the world, five tracks that you leave a second vein "neurosiana" unmistakable Breach and listened to the replay until vomiting, Botch and all the Hardcore purest that comes to mind is perfectly traceable in the record that Marner give us (in every sense as it is downloadable for free).
Riff fast, impulsive, disrespectful, broken by a battery that knows how to be sequenced just when you least expect it and it takes your breath away, there is no respite, but mostly there is no hope, words have a burden for these children and we thank them for this because they are a lot of the lyrics of this album you speak, they explain, they give you the direction in this sea where only the isolation and desolation seem to be protagonists.
sharp cry of pain, tiredness to know that things are not how they want to add it to see a lot of frustration slips away from the five pieces on the disc.
What can you say about a group that tells you that in two verses is the very life quell'eminenza gray against whom and against having to beat to be able to fight it out? They are right, they damn right. Hardcore
ruthless and suffering, no half measures, "the pain has only " and I will tell them first that you yourself can understand it alone.
few times before you are so steeped in hard, inspired and well above trend, but so out of all this for our children is the norm of Bologna. Little else
you have to do if you have not heard this disc download it (http://marnero.bandcamp.com) but trust me that having this beautiful original vinyl is a pleasure, dall'artwork texts, from the vinyl (which is always nice) internal to the poster.

LUCERTULAS - The Brawl

Tracklist:
1. 8 hours
2. An old man
3. In this town
4. A wicked eel
5. Crowning
6. The boxer
7. The nun's pray
8. Carlo's nightmare
9. The widower

Three years have not been enough to sober up of Tragol de Rova , And this round the Lucertulas are grappling with the tragic aftermath of those raids alcohol, sobriety is no longer a mirage but it is still far from being visible, the headache is preponderant, as in every phase surf worthy of respect, it is difficult to combine action to another, think and act simultaneously coast tremendous effort.
The synthesis of a hangover is the synthesis of the Brawl, which sees the trio back into action after months of continuous performances and collaborations (Christian hides behind the incursions of urban Lake Dead) and the result was to the most unexpected, splitting into two considerations of those who put down more than a faith in the previous disc. In
Tragol de Rova you could find the ultimate expression of drunkenness, unruly sounds, loose, rowdy, schizophrenic time, rough, broken, in a deadly admixture between chaos and order if ever there can be one, which bordered the noise went hand in hand with the blues and psychedelic, noisy and brutality assorted brackets, in the Brawl this does not happen and it seems that one thing excludes the other, rather than hand in hand we can say that the components give you his hand as a substitute for one another. And 'this is the detail that has divided, in its analysis that the division of labor sees its core.
Sound of Lucertulas became more physical, more human, fell from desperate lands and abstract approach to a more human approach, for convenience and concreteness, and that issue may well feel the hysteria of 8 hours and continues head down to the Boxer, with an attitude far more violent than in the past, where the guitars are more orderly and less trying to roll over one another, where once again the will left by the door and that Cows .
But, as before mentioned, the hangover is hard to get to do two things at once, and that's the most visionary of Lucertulas suddenly makes its appearance and lets go until the end of the album, Boxer the hits and hits hard, but does so with a mechanical nature that there was not even in Tragol de Rova, times change and change method, but returns to hit the same spot with a series of riffs that become memorable. The Nun's Pray is the desperate cry of a headache that is hard to clear and you until the final thud, hiss in the ears that continues until the final page of the Widower, where the sound is thin and square come up with the parentheses of the most dramatic Scratch Acid alchemy of Big Black, without drum machines but with the warmth of extra gear that is lost in the bottom of the sink a final effort.
The Brawl is an album that divides itself with its approach and this is a possible key to his approach to musical expression, but the brand still exists Lucertulas thanks to the validity of its contents and the guitars are always jump off the chair , perhaps the character is less surprising, but the quality makes up for that too. You just have to see what they will do now, if you continue to accumulate again clear mind or undertow. Meanwhile, send down a cup of coffee and lemon.

Dōjinshi Vegeta Bulma

INFECTION CODE (Interview)

After the review of End we exchanged some impressions with frontman Gabriel to know more about the current state of Infection Code, here's the result:

Hello and Welcome back Gabriele NeuroPrison up. Three years have passed from "Intimacy" and once again you took the right time to focus on ideas, and finding the right way to channel everything through the new songs they see further expand your sound spectrum, tell us a little of that has happened in this time ....

Thanks for hosting again in the pages of our Neuroprison beast. It has been three years when we took our time to play some 'around promoting "Intimacy" and then to lay the groundwork for a new album. We were not too much to think about how we had to evolve / devolving, but we responded scream desperate and heartbreaking emotion of our art that asks us to create new songs. After about a year and a half of work has been released "Finish".

the new album in my opinion plays a role in the electronics even more crucial for the final result that you have come, the atmosphere is always dark cmq but without affecting the identity of the sound band breathe a different air, I dare say the result of the final maturity reached ....

I think that the electronics and testing associated with it to create new atmospheres, has played a decisive role, as well as the use of guitar and voice. Many things have changed in sound level in recent years at 'internal band. The electronics, if the first was just a final landscaping is now part of our identity and style guide the destiny of a song. Along with a new use of the guitar want to make the compositions more dark and sick and play a lot on the feedback, noise, rather than the single riff.

Think with FINE to have reached a sort of turning point in your career, I mean whether in light of this record, there may be future of new forms of expression or even quite radical stylistic choices?

During composition we have set only one point: that "End" was to be a turning point in art. We wanted to break away from the things done before in a drastic way, and leaner. Give a cut in the past to venture into new things that we could give new emotions. We started as a Death-Thrash band and we were a bit 'tired of being seen as a group of extreme metal. We want to continue to be extreme, difficult and annoying, but speaking with other subtleties of sound. Still trying to maintain our identity, that, and I do not want to sin presumption, is unique and ever-changing. Whatever we do, we will always be us.

With regard to the production you have got to be able to count on Eraldo Bernocchi, how you got to work with him and what his vision has influenced the sound of the album?

For some time, "Intimacy" with Eraldo we had not felt for a possible collaboration, and when we finished composing the songs on "Finish" we did not hesitate even a minute. We felt and we asked him if he wanted to mix and produce it. We wanted to bring something visionary and disturbing to the sounds of "Fine" with a little cutting metal / rock and more experimental. We wanted to have a production away from the classical discs post hardcore / metal / industrial and I think he was the right person to create this sound magma. He was thrilled to participate actively in this adventure and has proved a very eclectic person with a culture and a crazy musical artistry and monstrous. Certainly not us to discover the immense talent of Bernocchi. We felt flattered that he wanted to be in the game. E 'come out with something strange, unique, and let annoying, wonderful. An experience that left them even sign on the grooves of the disc.

I was very surprised by the cover of "Cupe vamp of CSI, I confess Listens to lend me that before I was very skeptical about the possible outcome and instead I had to change his mind big time. In the past you told us to appreciate our local band, because the choice fell on this song?

Much of the band loves what they have done these characters, first with CCCP and then with CSI. They are among our favorite plays. Along with a few other mainstream groups have managed to create a huge space between rock music with a certain specific gravity and rock entertainment. Theirs is pure poetry. That both electrical and acoustic CSI gave us the immortal pearls of enormous and incredible musical expression. Giovanni Lindo Ferretti a singer in the strict sense of the term. But it is the best. His poems, his interpretation, his being so little and so much frontman icon makes it unique. Whether you agree with what he writes and what he thinks or not. It is expressed in a way that can not hurt you. We wanted to pay homage to one of the largest Italian bands of all time. We wanted to do it our way. Choosing one of the most beautiful and evocative songs I've ever written. It 'was a gamble. But even before we knew that we would upset win. Why did we do with the heart and soul in his hand.

All the pieces of the album have a distinct personality, but I was particularly Grey fascinated by that as I wrote under review has brought me to mind the great notes and gray Neurosis Eye of Every Storm, and I think we can perhaps be regarded as the biggest challenge on your part from the artistic point of view until now, do you agree?

"Grey" is perhaps the first born. It 's the first child of this new marriage. "Grey" was terrible. All 'a bit early' inconclusive and not very reassuring. We are not convinced. And we did not like. We tried to breed it, care for, protect, educate them in a more experimental sound with tons of effects, feedback and stylistic upheavals. It 's the piece that made us slam more. Eventually our efforts were rewarded. G rey "has grown. Strong, with personality, character, and can now walk on her own. Make its way by itself. Overcoming obstacles and problems. Growing old alone. We have not thought of Neurosis, much less a monumental album like "Eye of Every Storm." Perhaps our unconscious is speaking and we played this joke. The Neurosis were our fathers, and this probably has had an enormous influence to "Grey".

Focusing on the lyrics of the album is easy to see what color cues are a constant metaphor for the mood that reigns in the various songs ... what topics are covered?

I wanted to play with the colors of telling stories that are not linked together. It could be a concept on the colors but it is not in the strict sense. I wanted to tell very personal stories and thoughts by treating them as if they were colors. Besides, my life, if we wanted to synthesize and summarize it by playing with the color of the world is colored with black, white, gray, red and purple in "Varnish" is art that comes alive and kills the 'artist, or in "Painting my life" of a painter who makes a mockery of death portrayed in tones and bright colors and flashy, or in "Collapse of the red side" where the ideal of a man drowning in a bath of blood and lies.

Tell us a little of the charming artwork, who is the author and what it represents?

The artwork, as all our work has been created, designed and built by Enrico, bass player and creator of noise behind tons of infernal contraptions. You put a personal vision on canvas of what the music of "End" has suggested. His works are very abstract and personal, encapsulating perfectly the claustrophobia and the sense of unease that the music of infection code describes and praises.

At END have also a new record deal, with the return to New LM Records ...

The agreement with what is old is NEW LM. We know them from the time of our second album, which produced. Then there was the interlude with the Beyond prod who brought "Intimacy" and now here we go again, again with the NEW LM. After breaking with the Beyond (also in a friendly way) do not deny that we have looked around a label, not least foreign to us could support. We did listen to the album around to several record labels but no one heard of the bet on us. NEW The LM was once again, our lifeline. They are small, but passionate and know what they want. But above all do what they say.

Regarding the live aspect of what you have planned? There is already a tour to promote the new record coming?

not talking about the tour. We do not use big words. It will be very hard to organize some gigs here and there sporadically in Italy. Meanwhile we will continue to write new things and here we would like to leave a short split, perhaps in vinyl, a seven-inch with some other band. Indeed, I take this opportunity to launch an appeal: those wishing to participate with us in this split it is welcome. We are also working on the sketches, still very immature of songs and then we're venturing to overturn one another immortal song, which has made the history of rock visionary and lysergic acid. It released a version very personal.

Ok, we concluded, thank you for your time and you've given us good luck!

of Neuroprison Thank you for the space and support. Stay Noise!

Listen "Antarctica" is like plunging into the icy waters of the South .. them is that Josh, the lead singer of To Kill romanissimi , is heading along with Steve Irwin, the Black Sea Shepherd ship, for now we are in front of the last chapter of this "Ardecore" more Roman Roman you can not.
Testament, last will, call it what you want, but the 13 tracks of "Antarctica" is the final cry of a band that scored in the last six years, and milled the heads and Italian roads, and not just yelling and despair anger intensified. So we leave
To Kill, and puppet cabin close to follow their personal ambitions, and if they can not blame any of them, deep down you always knew that sooner or later this would happen.
Going to the bottom of this last record we can safely say it is not an innovative album, but that did not want to be, but it certainly is inspired (the lyrics are nothing short of sublime and venomously outspoken!) An album that runs away as fast a blade on the ice face.
short tracks, with very little detachment from each other ready to smash the face of the listener in just two minutes.
pain, despair, anger and frustration, all elements have always been present in the history of To Kill but here they blend perfectly as remaining stuck in the immense iceberg that stands on the cover.
themes are proposed to our loved ones again, environmentalism and the animal with particular attention to the fact that if man is not a shock sooner or later will make the entire Earth, a desolate planet and just as cold as the ' Antarctica.
The sadness in knowing that these will be the last words written about this group can not hide it, it is thanks to them that I was able to discover a world that now is for anyone who writes a real faith.
We break all the schemes and we sincerely thank the To Kill for what they did for the Italian hardcore and what they will do individually from a few months now. Allow me a personal thanks and encouragement to Josh who is about to start with Sea Shepherd, rompetegli ass guys and thanks.

Antarctica (Interview)

After the review of Solve Et Coagula we heard Mike and here is a quick interview to find out more about news and developments The Secret in the house ...

Solve Et Coagula
features tracks much more linear, directed at the same time you can clearly see your maturation phase composition, greater attention to detail and in particular the objective to focus on bring out every nuance. As external inputs, which are simply new plays or musical stimuli related to everyday life, have affected the evolution of your sound?

Some time after the recording of "Disintoxication" we realized that many things in the record that we recorded in our view did not work and we began working on new material. Listening to the record we had the impression that the songs would have made much better by using fewer elements for each piece. This was the reflection of departure that led us to evolve our sound in this direction as "dry", but also playing live regularly made us realize that simplicity would have led to greatly improve both on stage and in drawing up the pieces. The plays are not really changed that much, maybe you are in a certain way "restricted". The gestation of the disc was definitely one of the quietest ever, and there have been many tensions within the group, both personal and artistic. Perhaps this has led us to express ourselves in a more direct and primitive and often try to spend less time in the rehearsal room than in the past and be more instinctive.

Disintoxication two years ago represented a real new beginning for the band, both in terms of style that's lineup; Solve Et Coagula can be seen as the natural next step in what they aspire to be like or band should be seen simply as your new album, a testimony of what who are at present?

I think "Solve et Coagula" is a sort of "purification" of those who have the same elements that are the basis of "Disintoxication. As I mentioned before, we have essentially taken away what we did not like. The big difference I feel now, at least on a personal level, is that this time I have no regrets and would not change anything about the album that we recorded. I have no idea that that will be our next album in music but I think we have found a balance at this time.

Much of the album is a real slap in the face, with a succession of outbursts in short-hued crust / grind and black metal influences, even more than in the recent past are then to balance things and make it more interesting 'episodes play more experimental and atmospheric, all the instrumental Bell of Urgency. Just this union of styles and influences perfectly integrated in the basic framework is what makes it distinctive sound your current goal increasingly difficult to achieve in today's music scene ..... do you agree?

but I hope not to be misunderstood to be "original" mixing different influences is absolutely not our priority, not our starting point. Obviously we do not want to sound like other bands but this time we thought the final result less than in the past, no planning or purpose default. We just tried to be honest and do the things we liked best without thinking too much about. I'm glad if you think our new work has its own identity but the only thing we are interested in creating the album was to write good pieces. At least as far as I often prefer to listen to a good classic rock song rather than the last hard test Mike Patton. I do not want to argue about whether something is "better" but simply is what interests me most at this time.

As for us, especially for the most direct pieces, sometimes you just have a riff that we liked and the song came out "alone." If it sounds good we were working on a few days and then recorded without fuss. Other times it was necessary to work on it for more time, we felt that we needed to go slightly more in depth below the surface to make sense of what we were playing but the priority has always been the song.

Looking prefer the character of originality.

From Lyrically it is easy to see that once again your songs are far from being imbued with optimism ...

The lyrics in the album Mark has written them all but I can tell you that everything that can be found in the texts always turn around the loss of faith / trust. In politics, media, religion, social relations. The situation in the country in which we live is totally degenerate and is getting worse every day if possible. I hope the bottom has been touched but I fear that things may get worse still. Too many people do not understand that is believing in the people who are the main cause of the problems we are facing now. He believes politicians blatantly lying, seeks comfort in a false religion and hypocrisy, look at a TV that continues to crown a model to follow people that make me just sucks, controlled by other people who are even more disgusting.

We are sinking into the abyss and the thing that saddens me most is to see that is what people want.

Italians good people.

How lineup was recorded on disc? Do you think the current rhythm section to become stable (do not say definitively given the sudden defection came in recent times, for good luck), or be seen as a temporary aid to promote the live album?

The album was recorded with Chris on drums, Henry on bass, Mark on vocals and me on guitar. Christian has left the band a few weeks after the recordings and now Thomas Court is our new drummer. The situation is final, we are very soddsfatti.

How did you work with an icon of the scene and a great professional like Kurt Ballou? How important were his way of seeing things and his experiences in the light of the excellent end result?

Working with Kurt was a very pleasant and relaxing even though he is without doubt one of the great protagonists of heavy music in recent years. Before entering the study, we produced all the tracks of the pre hard in the rehearsal room, trying to get to Godcity with clearer ideas as possible. Kurt's work was essentially to think about how to get the sounds we had in mind, without putting too much the voice on the structure and arrangement of the pieces themselves. I think Kurt is very good at being able to find the right "sound for every band that records without following standardized formulas or modus operandi. We spent time in trying to balance the sounds and bass guitars, still trying to keep the rough and dirty nature of the pieces that we had heard before leaving. It is a person of great patience and experience and hope to get back the good fortune to work with him in the future.

Disintoxication than there have been major changes regarding the equipment used it?

Recording in Salem we had to use the instruments of the study of Kurt. The whole approach to the sounds of this album is very different from its predecessor, especially with regard to the guitars. This time I used an Ampeg V4, an Orange OR and combo boxes on a Marshall 6x12 Emperor. For the low Henry used a 8x10 Ampeg Orange on cash. Gibson Les Paul Custom and Gibson Grabber.

During our last interview you said you were optimistic about the state of the Italian underground music scene, with the feeling that something was finally moving .... you're still the same idea? E 'increased the response from the public to your concerts?

Starting from the last part of the question, we feel that now there are certainly more people who follow us, the feedback of the disc at the moment is really good, even for the good work he is doing to promote the Southern Lord. As far as being optimistic or not on the Italian scene, I no longer interested in this question. I think that in Italy there is a very strange situation, people with less taste and musical knowledge are often those most active and proactive. We happened to play really absurd contexts in recent years. Often concerts where things were organized in the most professional manner and had created more expectations we have proved terrible at other times have gone out of the great concerts where we least expect it. It is always a slightly lottery. Now we are particularly interested in playing in areas where we feel more at ease, more control, although sometimes it can also mean giving up a slice of the public. We came to the conclusion that it is often better to play in front of 100 people who are interested in them because our music in front of 300 that are there to go to evening.

After the closure of Goodfellow you have found without a contract, you have been running a pre-album and Greg Anderson was impressed ... this sums up the path that led you to join the roster of Southern Lord.Pensate have finally made the breakthrough band to be the definitive view of the world or there is still recognized standing much work to be done, especially from the point of live intensely and then increase the activity?

not really know how to answer that question because I do not think we're arriving at such conclusions. Certainly we still have much work to do and I think we still significant room for improvement as a band. Working with Southern Lord po'cambiato has a lot of things and I do not deny that now happens to people who previously were not We devoted a second but now even sends us to do interviews. E'assurdo as people often need someone else first "approve" what then are going to listen.

However, the disc has just been released so it's really early to reach conclusions. Let's hope so.

You already have a well defined program of what will be your tour in Europe and then overseas by the end of this year and 2011?

we're talking about in those days. Right now I should be touring the U.S. with the Early Graves but as most of you know our friends have had a terrible accident, and their singer Makha Daniels is dead. After this po'tutti plans a tragedy of 2010 is gone and nothing to play here until the end of the year in Italy. We are planning for 2011, but luck did not want to anticipate anything. There are some very interesting things going on here. Hopefully well here.

Ok we are finally, thanks for the time that you gave us ... good luck to all and see you soon!

Thank you.

INFECTION CODE - End

Tracklist:

1. Varnish
2. All Colours
3. Grey
4. Collapse of the red side
5. Black Glue
6. Brooding Vamp
7. Painting My Life

They come three years after the previous "Intimacy" the Infection Code, and is definitely a welcome back to judge from the seven pieces that make up Finish . If
with the previous work the band had aimed to raise their sound to maximum effect can be disturbing and suffocating, experimenting with sounds and production so as to obtain acidic and unhealthy atmosphere, this time we see a decided though not radical changes, as the artistic essence of the band remains devoted to the expression of that existential suffering increasingly characteristic of modern man.
What immediately struck the ear is production treated in this case by Eraldo Bernocchi , renowned musician and producer of international level, a record of never Infection Code had sounded so crisp, thick and powerful. A dramatic change if we adopted the sounds for previous productions and proves that the right choice in make the most of the new compositions, marked by less claustrophobic atmosphere but very bleak and shadowy, characterized by a clever use of electronics on the one hand and by massive walls / guitar feedback on the other.
It is up to the task of Varnish us delve into a little reassuring tone of the album, a sort of obsessive mantra industrial tribal rhythms, bursts of guitar and screams, framed dall'effettistica background, whose use will be valuable to another feature supporting the full tracklist. All Colours episode is undoubtedly the strongest association with the past, hovering between post-hardcore and noise rock, and saw as the perfect lead single on the duration contained. With Grey
the album begins to reveal itself in all its essence, a long and distressing affect, and vocal soundscapes that recall the truly enchanting and psychedelic textures of gray Neurosis The Eye of Every Storm.
Collpapse of the red side opens with the impact of low and puts inquietanre revealed a structure absolutely fantastic in terms of dynamic, balanced between explosions, violent electronic substrates, powerful and evocative guitar groove delays. In
Black Glue back to peep at the mixture of noise and the typical post-hardcore band, this time characterized by continuous stop and go, a fierce, pulsating distorted bass and granite rifferama rending. There is also room for a new cover, experiment in which the band has become accustomed, and on this occasion with the result of our own Cupe Vamp CSI is really amazing, was not easy to give new life to the track without falling into the ridiculous but Infection Code with simplicity and passion pass the test with flying colors. It is up to
Painting My Life close the album, a task accomplished in the best way possible thanks to a particularly evocative and introspective incipit, suggesting internal analysis, inevitable and silent reflection on his life, a tension ready to explode, however, giving free vent to the frustration built up ... impossible not to be involved and affected.
End represents all the colors needed to paint our lives are the Infection Code that at the height of its potential have reached final maturity, showing a remarkable consistency of expression and the arts. Make it your own, you will not regret.

INDIFFERENT or addicted?

In the "crooks" Carlo Alberto Brioschi tells the story of the relationship between money and politics
Corruption: indifferent or addicted
Dall 'hypocrisy to the boldness, borders Irony of an old phenomenon Demosthenes wrote: "I envy those you leave corrupt, laughable if it openly acknowledges, to hate those who would like to acknowledge" The argument that the author 'is not about the specific problems of our time and of' Italy, but rooted in 'human soul
B onifacio VIII and Craxi, Verre and Fouquet, the' gold of the Bank and the Roman arrival in Moscow from the Dark Shops, placed by the swindlers at Dante 'Inferno and the scandal of Athens' gold Arpal, the simonists medieval and corrupt Tangentopoli. The thesis of Carlo Alberto Brioschi - Head of essays published by Rizzoli, which publishes his books but Longanesi - is that the corruption and malfeasance in general are not specific phenomena of a people or an 'era, but are somehow rooted in history, inherent to' human soul. In 'Italy of today, however, there is a new and disturbing mutation: corruption emerges in the light of the sun, as the "scum that goes up the shaft' of the metaphor coined by Indro Montanelli. You claim in public that the first things you did secretly in private. All 'hypocrisy replacing the cheek. The result is 'an addiction' public opinion that seems to have even more strength to fight back, and the sense of impunity of the powerful (plastically represented by 'joy with which the' other day in the House has celebrated the rejection of the request use the interception of 'Mrs Nicola Cosentino, of which the judiciary has sought' to stop Camorra). The crooks (301 pages, Euro 16, now in bookstores) is a subject on which Brioschi working for fifteen years, since 'he was young reporter Tangentopoli. In 1996 he wrote a book, The Peninsula of the Treasury (Diabasis), in which images of Craxi's return from 'exile in Hammamet and its reconquest of' Italy in the manner of 'loved Giuseppe Garibaldi, beginning with the landing at Marsala. "But, as any attempt to imagine the future, has ended - Briones writes in the foreword - to be superseded by the reality. The 'friend of Ghino of heel, and he generously benefited, Silvio Berlusconi, has risen to power with much greater determination of his predecessor. " After the provocative praise of corruption (Ponte alle Grazie, 1997) and morale Portable (Tea, 2002), Briones has signed in 2006 a brief history of corruption in the underworld is a 'updated and expanded edition. And, in 2007, Rizzoli published The Casta Sergio Rizzo and Gian Antonio Stella, a sage who has changed the political history of 'Italy. Since then, he writes Brioschi, disenchantment el 'indifference grew up in the' public opinion. The crooks no longer give rise to moral indignation and revolt. Yet the 'author identifies two new elements from the past. The most recent scandals, those who said Filippo Ceccarelli The last essay in his slum (Feltrinelli), have sex in the middle, especially the woman's body, the partying at Palazzo Grazioli the resignation of the mayor of Bologna Delbono, through the misadventures of Piero Marrazzo being Gradoli, with the 'the exception of' injury Claudio Scajola paid on the house without his knowledge by the "clique." 'S other new element is the "de-legitimization of collective concern that runs the system, the' clear warning of a model of power that is crumbling." The book ends on this question: If we started on a china fatal corruption and addiction, or whether they're on the eve of the collapse of what has been called Second Republic, and the actors - from the post-communist Berlusconi - who gave her life. But the test has not pressed on this, so it's a romp through the historical periods. Beginning with the "quid pro quo" of the Bible and from 'Arthasastra (under the Indian Amartya Sen Nobel translates as "political economy") of the Brahmin Kautilya, a contemporary of Aristotle, who believed that government should use every means to achieve their goals , and rules of discipline and honesty seem to apply only to subjects, and the chance to prove the dishonesty of a financial officer is remote as to discover "how much water you can drink a fish swimming freely in the 'water'. More or less in the same year the 'Athenian Demosthenes, exiled with his' charges of embezzlement and suicide after returning home, coined a motto that seems to adapt well to this day: "I envy those you leave corrupt, laughable if it recognizes openly, to absolve those who have been caught committing a crime, to hate those who would impeach. What Does My Date Of My Birth About My Career

INTRODUCTION TO SPANISH EDITION GARZON

literary excerpts: READING
Punishing corruption
Baltasar Garzón 25/04/2010
The concept of corruption is confusing and because its broad physical sense is applicable to any object, and intellectual aspects, sentimental, political, social and economic human beings in general. Not everyone is sold for money. The motivations of those who fall into corruption often go beyond economics: the conviction, hatred or revenge, to interests of any kind, including the favor of their own, can corrupt a person. Nor is there one kind of corruption, as it can be public or private, classical or modern, and affect institutions or parts of the state or of justice in democratic systems or dictatorships. But it is essentially a phenomenon generator injustice and inequality among citizens and, therefore, of distrust: the absence of appropriate responses by those who have a duty to prosecute corrupt practices and they do not, it is presumed corruption system. Increase
and disinterest in the defense of public apathy towards the need to generate a reset ethical base your education and learning.
Political corruption, the economic hand, results in a kind of privatization of the state. The servers that become "owners" of public services rather than managers themselves. Cobra concept of patrimonial power of these services to the detriment of the democratic idea of \u200b\u200bcitizen services. And it leads to this city, coercively, to believe in the safety, or even the goodness of the phenomenon.
This statement explains that corruption in Spain in 2008, occupied one of the last places in the ranking order issues of concern to citizens, and becomes understandable that politicians accused, investigated or convicted of corruption continue to have popular support in subsequent periods. So for many, sadly, the worse the evidence of their stupidity to be surprised that being recognized as corrupt.
If something tells us the map of corruption anywhere in the world at any time, is that only courageous and determined leadership can overcome the problem, overcoming the popular indifference and remain vigilant and intransigent in the face corrupt behavior. Good governance, obtained by the action coordinated control agencies to reduce the space for corruption, is essential for effective strategy against the problem. And that governance, in fact, be strengthened on the basis of a fight against corruption, which in turn will provide institutions with the necessary authority to convey not only the appearance of legality, but also the ethical strength is not to compromise with public and private corruption.
's assertion that in a democratic system, some degree of corruption are necessary to sustain the scheme of political parties, which leads to the acceptance of financial malpractice, is unacceptable, because the credibility of a political party must lie not only in the coherence and democratic character of his ideas, but also in the transparency of its resources, reflecting the honesty of their leaders.
Although it is clear, there are many criminal codes that make it a criminal illegal financing of political parties, one of the most common forms of corruption. Even in some systems it has been decided, almost without controversy, clearly support the action of lobbies or pressure groups and economic policy in election campaigns (the United States Supreme Court, in 2010, has sentenced the legality of actions of these groups, a decision that the president has criticized Barack Obama energy, himself who promoted the rule of prohibition).
is an undeniable fact that corruption is also an ideal tool for organized crime and the development and implementation of its methods in political and economic systems and financial institutions, law enforcement or judicial authorities to get more space impunity. Because "any form of government is free to the development of transnational criminal organizations, no legal system can fully control the growth of the crime and any economic or financial system is safe from the temptation to profit from levels well above those that are achievable with legal activities "(Louise Shelley, American University).
Organized crime has penetrated many countries, from local to national or federal authority, through the financing of political campaigns for the election of its members as deputies. Recall the case of narco or parapolitics in countries like Colombia, the purchase of political will by the Mafia in Italy or the appointment of government officials by criminal groups in Mexico.
If this is a fact, so is the association of each other transnational criminal groups, such as a need arising from self-organized activity and the complexity and globalization of the markets that attack. That growth, interestingly, makes them more vulnerable to coordinated action by the justice of different countries, which has been provided with appropriate tools to carry it out. Therefore, it is in this way to add impact due to the effects of prevention, pursuit of a suitable mixed phenomenon "organized crime-corruption."
Not much talk about corruption does not mean ceased to exist. On the contrary, what happened is that those who practice it have become more expert and have left the black flag with skull black case pirate by computer, and the bag with the gun by the executive's briefcase. They have achieved a new triumph: that is to stop talking about them, so you do not notice penetration boards of large companies and multilateral agencies, contributing to money laundering from the various sectors of the crime with impunity behaviors, applying constraints to any kind of research.
It follows from the need for the phenomenon of corruption become visible, terminated and is made clear in all its cruelty, indifference to preclude it.
Today, the issue of corruption, especially in our country, is subject to debate. But behind formulations of intransigence over the same, there are attitudes of understanding, especially when it comes to political corruption. Cases in which certain media take positions not necessarily factual, but concealing and burdensome for the course of justice.
The news is happening so fast that the citizen does not have time to assimilate what they read, hear or see in the different media, but not quit at a critical perception of the different cases. Perhaps one could say that, so far this century, corruption has become a kind of plague bacillus from far away, as we are told in this book brilliantly Carlo Alberto Brioschi, and now known as any system infection, purulent hatching.
In his foreword, Brioschi himself asks: "Who cares if Caesar himself is a thief?". No one comes to meet the author. Nero and Caligula, have passed into history just as the saints, he says. But you do not go so far, suggests the author. We know of cases of blatant corruption that have been involved certain politicians whose electoral support and political judgments are not affected by such conduct. Quite the contrary. Understandably, the party propaganda machines, or some of them, anesthetize the memory of the citizens to get forgotten or, at least, condescension to the promise that certain facts will no longer occur and that cleanliness and purity management will in future be the standard. However, over time, the scenario is repeated, and some "stumbling blocks" to apologize at the prospect of an electoral victory that ensures that things will be different.
With
Brioschi irony recalls that, according to Octavio Paz, "a nation begins to decay when its syntax is corrupted." The appointment involves a long-range thinking: corruption is not nothing but the violent disruption of order, established rules. But it also happens that exploit the rules to subvert its content and look for areas of impunity.
(...) The last chapters of this brief history of corruption focus on the current status of this issue, in a world where the global nature of the political and economic connections gives problems universal scale. Brioschi considers the major crash and future financial corruption, and recalls how, at the time of its greatest economic expansion, the United States conducted by the dishonesty of their political and economic class business, a vital contribution to the development of all forms of petty corruption. In this regard cites English sociologist Jose Ramos: "In this society of growing inequality, corruption is both a symptom and a strategy." And so, the author introduces the corruption factor in the study of democracy. Ramos continued:
"It is true that corruption has always existed and if so apparent before was not only because the ideology hidden politics. Under Franco, the whole regime was corrupt, and in European democracies corruption was a taboo until the dissolution of the enemy also removed the old ideological priorities. "
It goes even further by saying that" in extent that political life is subject to the requirements of economic power, the territories are confused and public-private mix, and transfer mechanisms generate constant power to another. "
(... ) I can not conclude this note as a preface to the book of Brioschi without reference to a subject the author touches briefly in his introduction. Brioschi alludes to Giuliano Ferrara suggestion that judges should not decide on the fate of governments, and by extension, of the rulers. The author responds by citing, inter alia, ILVO Diamanti, who recalls: "We must not forget that corruption and irregularities they were not invented by judges." Giulio
Calamandrei added thereon in the same context: "The biggest risk is not a judge-only-external pressures, but internal depletion of conscience." Let each one do his reflections on this particular issue, without forgetting that corruption also often nest in the judiciary.
Independence judiciary is the bulwark for proper governance. This independence must be proclaimed as the political power (executive, legislative, political parties themselves) and the economic (financial institutions, banks, corporations). My reference to the political and economic power is intentional because politics today depends on the economic power and global multinational corporations that ultimately control their development. It is therefore essential to have a strong judiciary, independent and immovable, capable of investigating and punishing corruption over any other circumstance, always from the law, but without the mediation of those who seek to exercise control political about it, from inside or outside.
conclude from the hand of Machiavelli, who Carlo Alberto Brioschi often quoted: "Not without reason it is said that the people's voice is the voice of God. The public forecast events in a lucid they will say that people are endowed with the power to foresee what distinguishes good from evil, "says the author in his text on Livy.
But, today, can we share this affirmation in a world in which the media decide what is and what is not, which is praised or humiliated by political or economic interest in that defend or attack depending on what is obtained or lost? The responsibility of the media is such that it can be argued that its proper use depends on the future of a society that, like it or not, is essentially media.

Blenders And Male Masterbation

The book

"The clothes were made only of Governors of pockets," says the Giulio Cesare of Brecht. Politicians, government officials, businessmen, profiteers of every stripe: they all met on their way to the subtle and penetrating stench of corruption, from the Latin for Verre swindlers dall'Alighieri described by Fouquet to Craxi, the followers of Simon Magus to large English sellers in the Italian public positions. Over time, changing the forms of extortion and their interpretation and so we see the transition from the ancient societies of the gift to the modern moral issue: a journey to hell in which the author takes us through the events of the scandal Gold ARPAL , South Sea Bubble, the deal of the Banca Romana, "Clean Hands" investigation and financial hazards to the origins of the last economic crisis. From the age of Machiavelli that of Berlusconi, little has changed: if the prevailing 'the tangent clean' and 'exchange in nature "than the usual splint rustling notes, no one really thinks that the underworld is extirpated from human habits. But there are moments in history where the stench of corruption becomes so unbearable that request, even before the judicial or political action, a genuine awareness on the part of all. To avoid habituation to prevail for the worst or the tendency to forget of those who are still convinced, as he Longanesi, "the conclusion is that the moral fables."
