I want to open this column dedicated to all lovers of fantasy, yes, I will talk about the book that launched the worldwide spread of this kind: The Lord The Rings of Tolken.

Title: The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the rings)
Year Published: 3 volumes in 1954 to 55

configuration work and plot
This book is divided into three parts, The company Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King
This book tells the adventures related to the ring of power, very powerful magical object disappeared for centuries, which was found accidentally by a hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, a creature of small stature with big ears and feet, which bequeaths to his nephew before leaving on a long journey.
The ring, it will be understood later, the legendary ring of power to be sought far and wide by the forces of evil, became aware of his position, begin the hunt to retrieve it.
Frodo, the ring bearer, along with three his friends and the great wizard Gandalf, and then undertake the first part of the journey to bring the ring to Rivendell, the elves, to decide together with the great Middle-earth, what to do.
Once in Rivendell, the Council will declare that the only viable solution to end the threat determined from the ring, is to destroy the only place possible, within Mount Doom.
to complete this difficult and dangerous mission that will bring Frodo, the bearer, in enemy territory, is joined by nine companions whose task will be to protect and ensure that you complete the mission.
Thus, the Fellowship of the full part from Rivendell and is moving towards many adventures and encounters that took most of the actors to discover themselves and challenge each other constantly.

Unfortunately, given the length of the novel and the many events that happen to the protagonists, I can not dwell in the whole story, so I stayed more or less at the end of the first book, squeezing the most out of everything.

Information
Written between 1937 and 1949, was published in the 50s, translated into 38 languages, was a huge success and was considered the founder of the epic fantasy novel. In preparing and writing this work, Tolken committed most of his life, because in addition to the originality and the length of history, he also created an artificial language, inspired by the Finnish was included in this fantastic adventure.
The Lord of the Rings collects a wide range of interests from philology to religion, fairy tales and English literature to the Germanic and Celtic mythology and is also influenced by the author participated in the First World War.

All topics that are constantly present in the fantasy of the last 20 years, find themselves with absolute certainty in this volume:
The mission at hand, the battle of good versus evil, the characters' inner conflicts, fate inevitable, friendship and betrayal, love and hatred as two sides of same coin, the great epic battle, death.

Film
Since 2001, three films were shot, each corresponding to a book rather precisely.

The Fellowship of the Ring

The Two Towers

The Return of the King

My review
I read this book after seeing the film, driven by the fashion of the time and I must say I loved it, I literally devoured, I enjoyed every single page and I loved the Most of the characters, I felt really involved and thrown in Middle-earth aided by the beautiful places in the film that gave a nudge to my imagination.
certainly is a book as well as very long-winded, pompous and also quite often when I read Tolken considered mad because in some cases really is too much, but every true lover of fantasy should read this masterpiece of literature, then counsel for who have not already done so, to read, even in pieces.

Five stars full

conclude by saying:
" Three Rings for the Elven Kings under the sky that shines,
Seven for the Dwarf in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the
'Dark Lord closed the palace tetra,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows fall.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring
and in the darkness bind them.
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadow falls dark.
"

The next classic
